PVR provides several Professional Services:

- Architecture layout. The specifications
of the customer are thoroughly examined and discussed to
define a system which offers the functions desired with
minimum cost and complexity, identifying in the same time
the hardware devices and the software products best
suited to the customer needs.
- Integration of existing equipments. (
software and hardware ) When the supervision has to take
care of equipments already installed, PVR will produce a
suitable device to link OMNIA with the equipment,
provided that its functions, especially those related to
the exchange of information, is well documented.
- Development of new modules. While
usually all customer needs can be fulfilled with the
existing modules, PVR can develop new ones, especially if
the customer requirements appear to be of general
interest.
- Supervision to the installation and commissioning.
While PVR is presently not oriented to perform directly
the installation of hardware items at customer site, is
fully available to train, supervise and assist customer
personnel in the phase of installation and start up of
the plant.

- Control programs ( for PC and PLCs ).
The programs will be written in any desired language,
usually in C or Java for PC implementation, in Ladder,
Instruction or Block Logic in the case of PLC. The
program will be extensively documented and explained to
allow the customer to understand the finest details and
be in the condition to modify and trim the program to
optimize its performance, without needing external helps.
- Drivers for any device. The only
requirement is the availability of a comprehensive
documentation exposing unambiguously the behavior of the
device to be interfaced.

PVR policy is to use as much of standard commercial devices as
possible. In some cases however, the use of standard devices
leads to undue redundancy and cost inflation, justifying the
development of a special customized devices. As in the case of
software modules, PVR provides a detailed documentation of the
equipment produced as well as a trouble shooting guide allowing
the customer to identify easily any occurring fault and perform
the possible repair. In any case PVR supports its hardware
products for at least 10 years keeping a stock of spare parts to
repair any equipment delivered. |

The customization of OMNIA like of any supervision system
consists in keying-in all peculiar plant information thus feeding
the system data base, and in designing and building the video
masks which will be used by operators as an interface with the
real world monitored. PVR strongly advises its customers to
configure OMNIA inside their company, taking advantage from the
friendly and simple tools available for such purpose. In cases
where such an approach is not applicable, PVR can perform the
task of customization, and also, if required, can offer
assistance and advises in the installation and set up phases. |
