Learn more about OMNIA features
Easily configurable database
OMNIA simplifies database creation and configuration procedure
to a matter of fill-in-the-blanks of forms in order define only
the really necessary parameters of the project.
This method not only ease the designer task, but it actually
shows the right way to automatically generate a clean and
complete documentation.
Powerful graphic
OMNIA is compatible with all of the most used graphic editors
such as CorelDRAW, Autocad and every OLE compatible graphic tool.
For basic bitmap images, Paint, a graphic tool included in
Windows, is all that is needed for most applications.

OMNIA includes a wide library of pre built graphic symbols
that are very useful to draw the common plant devices such as
valves, pumps, tanks, switches, etc. The user can build his own
library of symbols that can subsequently be recalled, simplifying
the development process of repetitive projects.
Strict security
OMNIA deeply integrates its security functions with Windows NT
operative system, which includes all the security features needed
to protect every part of the system from unauthorized commands or
tampering. The complete event logging and auditing are powerful
tools to track and identify faulty events or to keep activity
records.
Easy to use tutorial manual
The comprehensive tutorial manual guides the user through all
the main steps of the development of a simple but complete
application. With a few short lessons the user gradually becomes
skilled in all of the available tools.
Complete on-line reference
The complete documentation is quickly accessible and directly
as an on-line help that explain all the commands and illustrates
several examples showing how to use the system features at its
best.
Selective alarm handling
Alarms can be organized in logical groups and assigned a
priority, thus allowing meaningful views of alarms related to
different sections of the plant, as well as hiding less
significant alarms in a specific condition.
On-line configuration
Every OMNIA project parameter, either a database object or a
graphic symbol, can be added, modified or deleted on-line keeping
active all the real-time supervisory and control activities. This
feature can increase the speed the project tuning, usually done
at the customer site with all devices regularly running.
Open architecture
All data managed by OMNIA can be exchanged with other Windows
applications in real time using standard protocols like DDE.
Off-line treatment of data is also possible by using formatted
exchange files, thus allowing the user to operate on his familiar
tools and work on the same system which simultaneously runs
supervisory functions.
Versatile trends
Every variable managed by OMNIA can be sampled and analyzed
on-line and off-line, automatic and manual scaling and conversion
allow heterogeneous data to be meaningfully compared. Sampled
data is shown both in graphical and numerical mode.
Open connectivity
OMNIA includes several communication protocols which can
directly connect to PLC of most brands and models. New protocols
are continuously developed, extending connectivity to
special-purpose devices such as fire and intrusion detectors as
they are available. A driver toolkit is available for power users
who need to develop a special or proprietary protocol driver.
High level languages control programming
When it comes to process control, OMNIA is a powerful help to
PLC in all the activities that require complex or distributed
programs that deal with data located in several devices. The
ability to use modern high level languages simplifies the
development of control sequences easy to conceive, document and
maintain, which can also be reused in many similar projects.
Wide scalability
OMNIA has no upper limits in terms of managed variables or
graphic symbols, and is only limited by system resources such as
RAM size and disk capacity. |
